Elaboration of a Teacher Training Staff Policy for the National Staff Training Institute (INFQ) of the Ministry of Education
The elaboration of a Teacher Training Policy for the National Staff Training Institute (INFQ), of the Ministry of Education, is in line with both the Teachers Training Master Plan 2008-2015 (PMFP) and the growing demand on teacher performance.

Moreover, the Policy will serve as an instrument to the implementation of Action Plan 4 - Training of Teaching Staff and Education Specialists and Researchers – from the National High and Mid-Level Staff Training Plan (PNFQ), and includes:

- Initial Training for teachers, and respective trainers, of pre-school, primary school, and secondary school from the regular teaching system.

This dimension combines the following contents:

- Pedagogical – Trainings levels and training entities, trainings’ organisation, admission procedures, exit profiles, approach to the curriculum elaboration, courses evaluation, conditions for courses admittance, students’ evaluation and certification;
- Institutional – Responsabilities and links between INFQE, Provincial governments and Municipal Administrations on programming, implementation and management of the teacher training supply.
- Continuous Training for teachers of pre-school, primary school, and secondary school (regular and vocational systems), incorporating a clear distinguishment between training for knowledge and performance improvement and profissionalization.
