The project aimed to promote a culture of economic research in the country, as well as a national expertise in the analysis, planning, management and monitoring of macroeconomic policies, in order to present macroeconomic scenarios that supported the National Development Plan 2001-2005.
It consisted of the development of a training programme in the above-mentioned domains and the elaboration of macroeconomics scenarios.
