Funded by the European Union, the Technical Cooperation Platform aims to support Cape Verde's transition to a sustainable, resilient, and inclusive economy. Aligned with national strategic plans, including Ambition 2030 and the Strategic Plan for Sustainable Development II (PEDS II 2022-2026), it will also contribute to strengthening the Special Partnership between the European Union and Cape Verde by promoting good governance practices, sustainable economic growth, and regional integration.

The Technical Cooperation Platform will enhance the capacity of institutions and national stakeholders in implementing reforms and policies that drive the green transition and inclusive and sustainable economic growth. This will be achieved through technical assistance and capacity building in key sectors such as poverty reduction, public finance management, sustainable energy, civil society empowerment (including gender issues), the blue economy, good governance, digital transition, and economic integration.

Among the main objectives of the Technical Cooperation Platform, the following stand out:

• Social inclusion and poverty reduction, with a focus on skills development and sustainable job creation;
• Strengthening governance and modernizing public administration;
• Supporting economic diversification beyond the "traditional" tourism model, boosting the blue and digital economy;
• Promoting renewable energy and energy efficiency to reduce dependency on fossil fuels;
• Strengthening regional integration and digital connectivity, positioning Cape Verde as a technological and maritime hub in the Atlantic.

With the ambition to strengthen dialogue, increase cooperation, and achieve greater convergence, we reaffirm our commitment to Cape Verde’s sustainable development by promoting best practices and contributing to the country’s institutional capacity building.
