The EU-Canada Policy Dialogues Support Facility, Phase II, aims to contribute to strenghtening and further enlarging the Strategic Partnership with Canada and specifically to support dialogue:
1: in priority areas of EU’s interest and mutual interest of Canada, namely within the implementation of the EU-Canada SPA and other relevant agreements concluded between the EU and the Canadian Federal Government.
2: in specific priority areas of EU’s and mutual interest of Canada related to the implementation of the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA).
The relationship between the EU and Canada is framed by the Strategic Partnership Agreement (SPA) and CETA. Both SPA and CETA serve as a larger framework for closer cooperation in many areas, from climate change and environment to human rights.
