The study aims to assist the European Commission's Directorate General (DG) for International Partnerships, specifically the Private Sector Engagement and Employment, in the initial stages of designing and implementing the Team Europe Initiative Opportunity -Vocational Educational Training project
The objectives include assessing the potential relevance of the employment and skills facet within the Green Hydrogen (GH) value chain for additional Sub-Saharan Africa countries and evaluating the benefits of a regional approach. It also involves providing guidance on ensuring that investments in the GH sector meet the employment aspirations of the local population. The study will identify key (European and African) stakeholders in the GH value chain, focusing on the private sector, to further explore employment opportunities and pinpoint skills needs and deficiencies.
