The Study aims to guide the strategic planning and development Saadani/Bagamoyo, Mafia Island, and the Kilwa localities ensuring that tourism growth aligns with the preservation of natural and cultural heritage, by:

1 Assessing Tourism Capacity: evaluating the carrying capacity across various dimensions—physical, ecological, economic, social, perceptual, and environmental—within these destinations, with a particular emphasis on tourism infrastructure.
2 Developing a Ten-Year Tourism Blueprint: Through an inclusive and collaborative process, by creating comprehensive ten-year development plans for each destination.
3 Contributing to the National Coastal Tourism Strategy: including making significant contributions to the formulation of the National Strategy for Coastal Tourism.

All these efforts reflect a commitment to fostering sustainable tourism that benefits both the local communities and the broader Tanzanian economy, while safeguarding the invaluable natural and cultural heritage of these regions.
