Qualifications and skills
- University degree in natural resources, economics, law, business administration, social or political sciences or a relevant related discipline
- Knowledge and experience in climate change and development nexus issues. A good understanding of EU development assistance
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent organisation and coordination skills
- Fluency in written and spoken Spanish and English is compulsory; knowledge of French is considered an advantage.
General professional experience
- At least 10 years of professional experience in project management, including project monitoring
- At least 7 years work experience with international donors and other public, non-state or private actors in developing countries, preferably in the Caribbean
- Experience as a programme manager of a regional programme is considered an asset.
Specific professional experience
- At least 4 years of work experience in managing consultancy works in the area of climate change, environment and natural resources
- At least 5 years of work experience as a programme manager in international development projects
- At least 5 years of work experience in the Caribbean
- Experience in project monitoring and logframe design/updating
- Experience in participatory and consultative processes, including facilitating workshops stakeholder consultations, and policy reform processes
- Prior experience with EU development cooperation is an advantage, as is experience with other international organisations/donors.
