Qualifications and skills
- University degree in natural resources, sciences, engineering or a relevant related discipline
- Knowledge and experience in climate change and development nexus issues, with proven experience thereof in Latin America and/or the Caribbean
- Excellent organisation, coordination and communication skills
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Spanish is compulsory; knowledge of French is considered an advantage.
General professional experience
- At least 9 years of professional experience in the area of development and cooperation
- At least 5 years of work experience with international donors and other public, non-state or private actors in developing countries, preferably in Latin America and/or the Caribbean
- Prior experience with EU development cooperation is an advantage, as is experience with other international organisations/donors.
Specific professional experience
- At least 5 years of work experience in results-based approaches, monitoring and/or evaluation of large multi-country development climate change related programmes
- Experience in the design and management of complex programme monitoring tools or systems, including coordinating and articulating monitoring mechanisms of different programme implementers
- Experience providing support and training to different programme stakeholders in the formulation of intervention logics and related logical framework matrices (logframes) and in the use of monitoring tools or systems
- Experience in processing, reporting and diffusion of programme performance information.
