The project aimed to improve the effectiveness of the Secretariat of the ACP in fulfilling its institutional mandate as the body implementing projects funded under the intra-ACP resources, namely through:
- Strengthening the planning, control and communication systems of the Secretariat;
- Definition and implementation of a new Human Resources policy;
- Improvement of the financial and internal control systems, including IT;
- Improvement of the coordination role of the Secretariat vis-à-vis the Regional Organizations;
- Strengthening the Secretariat’s capacity to effectively and efficiently manage EDF resources;
- Strengthen the Secretariat’s capacity to provide high quality thematic policies to the ACP institutions.
